The Hateful Westboro Church

October 5, 2006

As if setting up a website titled “God Hates Fags” isn’t hateful enough, this despicable group, calling themselves Christians, have been protesting at the funerals of America’s fallen Heroes. That is mean-spirited enough, but totally unbelievable and cruel was their announcement to protest at the funerals of the little Amish girls recently murdered in Pennsylvania.

Whether we believe in God or are an atheist or even agnostic, no one supports these cretins other than their own families. These morons make the Ku Klux Klan of old look mild.

Listening to anything they say, one can readily see they are only masquerading as Christians or even a Church. They display absolutely no attributes of God or His Son, Jesus. They only spew their hate filled rhetoric, apparently believing they and only they may be awarded salvation.

These slime balls are a perfect example of how people have misused both religion and the Bible, placing their own hate in scripture and ignoring the true message of love Jesus is purported to have preached.

Being attorneys, they have masterfully used our laws for finances by suing any and everybody they can. They twist the meaning of the First Amendment to justify their own hate of everyone not a member of their cult.

Viewing their spokesperson, Shirley, is sure to frighten anyone. That this woman has 11 children boggles the mind. I can imagine how poisoned their minds are becoming with her as a mother and Fred Phelps as a granddad. Listening to her spewing hate and justifying it from God’s Word shows just how hate filled she is.

In interview after interview I have never heard this person speak of love, peace or God, just her hate-filled rhetoric of all will burn in hell if they don’t submit to their cult.

As I view my own Bible, some scripture that apparently they have either ripped or burned out of their Bibles strikes me:

1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

I can only imagine the blackness God sees in the hearts of these hateful people.

If the woman with 11 children is the one I saw once on TV with the long, frizzy, light brown hair and her face twisting as she made her talking points, then yep they're a scary outfit. Precisely because they work within the law, their internal manipulations rarely if ever come to light.

That is her, Jeremiah. Scary person, inside and out.

We have a local radio program here, the Victoria Taft Show, and she was a 'guest' on it a few weeks ago. Foxnews's Julie Banderos had her on once and lit into her. Sean Hannity recently tore her up as well.

Mike Gallagher (I think that is who it was) just signed a contract with them giving them one hour air time to spew their filth (after a clear warning from him to the audience) to prevent them from carrying on at the Amish funerals.

If there is a hell, surely these people from Westboro Church will rot there for enternity.

Amen, Lew! I can't understand how hatred can be considered a virtue, in ANY religion - whether Christian, Muslim, or Hare Krishna!

As Mary McCarthy wrote long ago -if their God is THE God, I wouldn't care to spend Eternity in His presence.

(and I sure as hell wouldn't want to spend Eternity with the likes of them!)

Lew, you have hit the nail on the head. My good friend and fellow right wing conspiracist Jeremayakovka sent me here after I posted a similar rant here

Great job, and I'm adding you to my blogroll.

Collency and GM both, thank you. These freaks misuse freedom of speech to further thier anti-gay agenda.

I was always taught that judging is left to God who entrusted it to Jesus, not the Westboro alleged Church.

GM, nice site you have. I've added a link to yours here also. Will keep checking from time to time.

Thanks for the comments
