Obama: As Classless As He Is Clueless

Obama attended the annual Alfalfa Club Banquet Saturday evening along with governors and others. The Club and Banquet was established in 1913 to honor Confederate General Robert E. Lee on his birthday.

Obama decided to try his hand at stand up comedy, revealing his lack of taste and showing little clue to history.

In the jokes told, most poking fun at Rahm Emanuel, he took a swipe at the one the Banquet is honoring when he said,

The club was started partly to celebrate the birth of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. If Lee were here with us tonight, the general would be 202 years old. And very confused.”

The injection of race is just too obvious, Obama having dark skin and Lee having commanded the Confederacy. In essence, if not outright, he called Robert E. Lee a racist, as are others who don’t agree with B HO’s policies.

No doubt General Robert E. Lee is controversial historical figure, revered by some, hated by others. Few are willing to look at the man in the historical context of the times instead of our modern times.

Obviously Obama did not or he wouldn’t have made the wise crack he did above.

Little known facts about General Lee, even though he was a slave owner at some time is that he freed his slaves some 10 years before the Civil War, according to one who stayed at his side throughout the war as a freedman, Rev. William Mack Lee.

For some insight of one who would have known “Marse Robert” better than most, we need to read the words of ‘Ol Rev. Lee. Of the General, Rev. Lee, who was born a slave to the Lee Plantation in 1835 said,
I was raised by one of the greatest men in the world. There was never one born of a woman greater than Gen. Robert E. Lee, according to my judgment. All of his servants were set free ten years before the war, but all remained on the plantation until after the surrender.”

Regardless of how the General’s ‘Ol Body Servant felt about Robert E. Lee, Obama showed a true lack of class to crack a so called joke about him being such a racist at a banquet held to honor the man on his birthday.

Perhaps who really would have been ‘shocked’ would be the historical figure Obama seems to hold in high esteem, or at least compared himself to throughout the campaign and leading up to the coronation, Abraham Lincoln, Republican president credited with freeing the slaves in America, but documented to desire to keep the races separated and wished to send freed slaves to South and Central America.

This is not to diminish Lincoln; he too was just a man of his times.

But, such a tasteless ‘joke’ by Obama just shows his lack of class along with his cluelessness as to history and those who served before us.

As I understand it, the so-called joke bombed.

Don’t quit your day job, Barack.

Rush Is Still Right, We Stand With Rush

As was previously shown in Rush Was Right, the Democrats are doing exactly as Rush predicted they would, broadcasting unsubstantiated numbers and claims of how America is turning against Rush Limbaugh.

I have received a second claim of inflated numbers now with them trying to obfuscate their obvious failure in attacking Rush Limbaugh.

Subject: Rush Attacked, You Responded

Dear Lew,

This week, you did what seemed impossible - you drowned out Rush Limbaugh.

Thanks to you, Rush and his Republican followers in Congress got a taste of what they're in for if they keep attacking President Obama and Democrats working for change.

Rush himself predicted that we would exceed our goal in signatures to our petition drive against him. Maybe for the first time ever, he was right about something.

Over 70,000 of you signed our petition to break the back of Rush Limbaugh style politics. Your response was so overwhelming that you caught the attention of media outlets like CNN, Fox News, and Air America. Not to mention Rush himself.

Check out our video about your response to Rush Limbaugh and then make sure everyone you know sees it too.

More than ever, the party of Rush Limbaugh has proved that they are out of touch, out of ideas, and just plain out to lunch. And thanks to you, those Republicans in Congress who keep supporting Rush by standing against change will soon be out of a job.

Thanks again for standing strong.

Brian Wolff
Executive Director, DCCC

I guess Brian Wolff missed Michelle Malkin’s article appearing in the New York Post today, THE RUSH REVIVAL, DERANGED DEMS' OBSESSION WITH LIMBAUGH WILL BE THEIR UNDOING

Ms. Malkin makes note of the one thing that Democrats are unused to and not prepared for, Rush fights back and fights back hard!

But, for sake of argument, let’s say Wolff’s claim is somewhat accurate. Let’s give him credit and say the response has been twice what they claim, 140,000.

That amounts to two tenths of one percent that voted for B HO. Not even a full one per cent! It’s even less than one percent of the audience that Rush has!

Based off of that he claims Rush was “drowned out” and “those Republicans in Congress who keep supporting Rush by standing against change will soon be out of a job?”

Typical left winged socialist drivel and diatribe. Inflate an insignificant number to make it appear large. And don’t forget, I doubled the claimed number for them.

Also not counted on is the new Chair of the RNC, Michael Steele and comments he made today, reported on by CNN. In congratulating the House Republicans for unanimously opposing the Democrat Porkulus Bill, Steele Said,
“I know we’re living in the era of bipartisanship. I thought it was very important to send a signal, and you sent it loudly, very clearly, that this party, the leadership of this caucus, would stand first and foremost with the American people. You made it very clear that in order to grow through this recession that you not redistribute the wealth of the people of this nation.”

That’s right, we stand with the American People, those hard working individuals who must work to support themselves and ask for little, just the freedom to get out and try. That’s who Rush stands for and who we stand for.

Obama and the rest of the Democrat cabal must be worried as they continue to court Republican support for a massive overspending bill laden with pork that can easily pass without Republicans.

Sadly, I think the RINO’s in the Senate will cross over and vote for it. But the message was sent and it wasn’t by Rush Limbuagh, it was by the American people who overwhelmingly oppose this bail out bill and Obama’s socialist redistribution of wealth.

But, like all socialist dictatorial rulers, they need an enemy to blame and point fingers at. Bush was the target for 8 years, but he is gone. The Bolsheviks used Russia’s Czar and the wealthy. Hitler used the Jews and now, America’s Socialist Demokratik Politburo is using Rush Limbaugh, who will give them a fight they are unprepared for, along with some 20,000,000 listeners.

You Dems want a fight? You got it. Better have your white flags at the ready because we freedom loving Americans have had enough and are fighting back.

Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows

I’m sure older readers will recognize the title from the mid 1960’s recording by Lesley Gore, so with apologies to Ms. Gore, isn’t that basically what we have been promised and told we would get when Obama and his minions ruling America?

Looking at the lyrics I see a definite resemblance to how Obamorons carry on already,

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows
Everything that’s wonderful is what I feel
When we're together.
Brighter than a lucky penny.
When you're here the raindrops disappears
Dear and I feel so fine

Even with the demonic hatred still shown President George W. Bush, those same people mesmerized by Obama appear to fall into cult like worship towards his hominess.

In a Wall Street Journal article, Peter Berkowitz tells us Bush Hatred and Obama Euphoria Are Two Sides of the Same Coin.

With that in mind, what little Obama has actually done since his ascension to power shows little resemblance to Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows, regardless of how the cult of Obama tries to portray it.

A major ice storm has hit back east, particularly in Kentucky, leaving one million people freezing in sub freezing temperatures and without electrical power to cook, sterilize water or stay warm.

Dozens of people have already died, FEMA has not been sent in and Obama has not made any visit to the area to assess what is needed, as was demanded of President Bush by liberals after Hurricane Katrina. Obama did declare a state of emergency for Missouri, but what about Kentucky, where so many have already died and are without?

No trailers, no space heaters, no extra fuel, nothing coming from Obama’s FEMA!

While he did inherit an ongoing war on two fronts, how does one declare himself a “leader” of those Troops in harm’s way while at the same time asking for budget cuts in defense? And that is only “to start.”

Obama has publicly condemned CEO Bonuses, but I have yet to hear of him withdrawing the bonuses he gave out to staffers upon the successful completion of the coup d’etat.

He has yet to issue any condemnation of six fellow democrats enjoying a Caribbean junket hosted by Citigroup after Congress had approved the $700 billion bailout of financial services firms this past October.

Instead, we see more bashing of President Bush over Hurricane Katrina and not a word about the Democrat Mayor of New Orleans or the Democrat Governor of Louisiana, who both totally failed their constituents with their non-action.

It seems that even his choice of cabinet members is suspect, as one by one they seem to have committed “honest errors in judgment” by not having paid taxes that we lesser people are required to pay. He stands by each one.

He did keep his promise of extending an olive branch to Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and giving his first televised interview on Al Arabiya TV, basically apologizing for America defending ourselves from extremist Jihadists.

The reply from Iran is to demand an apology for some unspecified crimes and to get our Troops out of neighboring Iraq, even though Iraq’s government desires some Troops to remain a while longer.

Sensing weakness, Cuba’s aging dictator, Fidel Castro has now demanded Guantánamo Bay be given back to Communist Cuba, even though the site has been leased indefinitely to America since 1903 and lease checks have been sent every year, even though Castro now says he has never cashed any.

Obama has kept another promise by issuing an executive order that our base in Guantánamo be closed within a year, but he gave no thought on what to do with the detainees there, since their home countries do not wish their return and so far, American prisons do not want them either.

Most notable in that would be Democrat Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, who also advocates closing Guantánamo, rejecting suggestions of upgrading and placing them in her district in Alcatraz Prison.

Obama did receive a stinging rebuke from Navy Cmdr. Kurt Lippold (ret.), Commander of the USS Cole when it was attacked by suicide bombers in late 2000.

Personally troubling to me was B HO’s snubbing of the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball, an event that honors recipients of the Medal of Honor, America’s highest award for bravery, making him the first president to do so in the Ball’s 56 year history.

Fox News has an ongoing grading of Obama’s performance in office. Cal Thomas gives him a D- while far leftist Leonard Jacobs gives him an A-. Respondents to the online poll overwhelmingly give him between a D and an F.

Less than two weeks in and even though leftists and others desiring America become a Socialist State rate him so well, it is obvious that the Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows of Obama Rule is a dream, a pipe dream only.

To truly freedom loving Americans, it is more like a nightmare that we have nearly 4 more years to live through.

Michael Steele Selected As RNC Chairman

After a day-long process of close votes, Michael Steele, former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, has won the position of Party Chairman of the National Republican Committee. Steele is also the first African American to serve in that position.

On accepting the Chair, Steele said, “This is awesome. I accept and appreciate all of you for the opportunity to serve as the next national chairman of our very proud, our very strong, and our very, very hard working Republican National Committee.”

Steele Wins RNC Chairmanship

I welcome Mr. Steele to the party Chair and hope his efforts to return our party to solid conservative footing will be successful.

I also hope that he will make a strong effort to bring other Blacks home to the party that has actually stood with them more against racism and fought Democrats for decades for their Civil Rights.

The Myth of the Racist Republicans

Congratulations on winning the Chair, Mr. Steele. Now, let’s get busy on setting both the party and America on the right track again.

As expected, my email inbox is not deluged with Breaking News Alerts of this “Historic Selection.”

Michael Steele Biography

Along The Great Divide

Throughout our longest campaign season, we were repeatedly told that President George W. Bush was a “divider,” not a “uniter.” Democrat candidates made certain to mention that they would “unite” America, undoing the “divisiveness of Bush.”

All through the administration of George W. Bush’s presidency, he tried in vain to reach out to Democrats, to gain their cooperation and to turn around America’s headlong plunge into destructive socialism. Often he didn’t try hard enough and sometimes, it appeared as if he was the one advocating a socialist goal, or at least, the Democrats main propaganda mouthpiece, our media, made it appear that way.

Bush failed to unify America, just as previous presidents had also failed. The blame cannot be entirely at the president’s feet though, not with one party, the Democrats, wanting nothing to do with actual unity, their vision being everything under their socialist control.

For 18 months Democrats told us they would “unite America.” In March of 2008 the New York Times ran an article, “Can A Liberal Be A Unifier” informing us of Barack Obama’s view on his ability to unify. We were told of his

“promise that he can transcend the starkly red-and-blue politics of the last 15 years, end the partisan and ideological wars and build a new governing majority.”

It worked. Not only did Obama end up in the White House, Democrats kept and even gained seats in both the House and Senate, leaving us under a total Democrat control now, Republicans, all too often spineless, relegated to minority status and actually shut out of legislative matters by Speakerette of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

Republicans lost their way of conservatism and all too often crossed the aisle to liberal Democrats, working with them or trying to out liberal them. Their reward for their “unifying efforts” was to be castigated by Democrats and voted out of office. They only had themselves to blame for ignoring the pleas of conservative America to “stay the course” in strengthening America and the party.

Most appalling to me, at least locally, but also nationally, was the attitude displayed by Democrats immediately after November 4, 2008 as they now bemoaned “togetherness” and America “coming together,” but only when they hold total dictatorial power.

If the conduct of Democrats this early on in the administration is any indicator, “unity” is the last thing on their mind.

Nancy Pelosi, bombastic Speaker of the House, early on began the platform of exclusion by steering an early economic stimulus bill to an all Democrat panel, not allowing a single Republican access to the bill to offer alternatives, contrary to decades of legislative cooperation between the party’s. In fact, Pelosi threw out a century’s worth of House Rules in a naked power grab, effectively denying conservatives a voice in House matters.

At a news conference on January 29, 2009, Pelosi blurted out
“I didn’t come here to be partisan. I didn’t come here to be bipartisan. I came here, as did my colleagues, to be nonpartisan, to work for the American people, to do what is in their interest,”
after being asked if not one Republican vote for Obama’s pork laden stimulus plan showed a failure on her part to advance bipartisanship.

Ignored is that there was a bipartisan attitude on the bill, bipartisan opposition in that 11 Democrats crossed the aisle to oppose the bill, which still passed easily. Hardly enough to be a “unifying” moment for the country, but a start if it continues.

We even have former candidate, John ‘F’in Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) blasting Republicans for not voting for the bill after Democrats denied their input and wouldn’t consider any alternatives given by the GOP. Kerry says, “ignore Republicans’ demands about the stimulus plan if they’re going to vote against it anyway.” If this isn’t “our way or the highway,” what is?

Unknown at this time is whether or not John McCain’s Gang of 14 will step in and fold, in another surrender masquerading as a show of unity.

Obama showed his lack of unity while trying to gain support for his pork laden stimulus plan when he told Republican leaders,
“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.”

A president attacking a private citizen not in the government. An entertainer who broadcasts a political commentary show favoring conservatism, Rush does not represent the Republican party nor do elected Republicans listen to him, obviously.

Of course, this hides the true intent of Democrats to silence dissent from conservatives through the reinstatement of the “Fairness Doctrine,” which is anything but “fair.”

This is seen in not only emails sent out to citizens from the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee, but by efforts by left winged groups such as who ask, “Are you with Obama or Rush?

Unity is not their goal so much as dominance of free thought and instituting a cheap copy of the failed Soviet Union.

Further moves at being an elite class in America, which is as far from unity as one can get, we read of B HO’s cranking up the thermostat in the Oval Office, after ridiculing Americans and citizens of Washington D.C. for not being able to handle cold weather. We sacrifice while he sits comfortably.

During his campaigning in Roseburg, Oregon back in May 2008 Obama told the world,
“We can’t -- drive our SUVs and you know, eat as much as we want and keep our homes on you know, 72 degrees at all times, and whether we’re living in the desert or we’re living in the tundra, and then just expect that every other country’s going to say OK.”

Is it “unity” for us to keep our thermostats cool, requiring us to wear coats or sweaters indoors, yet he will keep the Oval Office “hot enough to grow orchids?”

That he doesn’t pay the bill, we do, isn’t even part of the equation, just that he fails to lead by example, a further example that he doesn’t desire “unity,” but sets himself in a class above the underlings, the ‘proletariat’ of America. He and the Democratic Party leadership.

All this talk of “unity” is just that, “Just words… Just speeches,” that apparently really don’t matter when spoken by the Socialist Demokratik Politburo.

President Bush actually did reach out and try to be a unifier, hoping to bring the country together. He was met with scorn, ridicule and liable every step of the way.

Obama & the Democrats are not even trying, just furthering their dominance of America and push to total Socialism.

The Great Divide of America isn’t the Rocky Mountains, but the schism between political ideologies that are growing further and further apart and in spite of glib speeches and empty promises, seeks the destruction of traditional America as we grew to know and love it.

Smoke and Mirrors

Finally getting around to that response.... For what it's worth.

The men and women we pack off to represent us in Washington, DC, are THE FURTHEST CRY from genius. Smoke and mirrors do not a genius make.... they are merely the tools of the magician (those prestidigitator types I mentioned previously) by which to enslave the unthinking masses while making them believe they are getting a real bargain for the price of admission. Those unthinking masses are ALSO merely tools.... by which to facilitate bringing the rest of us down to the lowest level. Control, deceit, manipulation - drug them into oblivion and gain control, infiltrate what mind remains with thoughts of intolerance and hatred, demand "change" so that we can live in a truly "just" society (but never to be forgiven for the sins of the past).

No, I can think of far more appropriate terms to apply to politicians (at every level of all branches of government - executive, legislative, and judicial) than "genius." After all, we shan't diminish mine by comparing it to what they do. My genius and what they... are, I guess... are two completely different species. What about calling them by what they REALLY are?
Totalitarian Kleptocrats.
Conmen and shills.
Grifters, chiselers, swindlers, scammers, and clip artists.
Malignant narcissists.
Social engineers.
Morally bankrupt psychopaths stampeding through others' lives like a bull elephant in a china shop, with no regard for who they harm, no conscience to be found, and not a shred of human decency.

Much like their ignorant masses, they care not at all for the things OTHERS have bought and paid for, shattering into billions of tiny shards a legacy DEMANDED to be passed from one generation to the next - and offered freely to any who feel an inner burning to claim it as their own and willing to ensure that legacy fulfills its destiny: To be passed from father to son, perhaps a little worn but still intact, the means and method of guaranteeing each of us and all those yet to come the ability to fulfill our OWN destinies - securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.

Here is the way I see it. There are few - and I mean FEW - willing to truly lay down blood to protect not just 4400 words on a piece of paper but what those words represent. The ideals of liberty and freedom, individual and States' rights, a guarantee that all may participate in their own protection, and above all the sacrifice embodied in the creation and the preservation of The Constitution of The United States of America. These dreams and promises of dreams will survive even without the paper, embedded in the very soul of America. No matter what kind of magic show they put on today, tomorrow we will still find those foundations amongst the rubble.

These blind believers and their masters, having willfully surrendered the freedoms and liberties so many have fought and died for, do not DESERVE them; so little respect for what has been given to them UNCONDITIONALLY, they are unwilling to protect and defend those liberties and freedoms and instead cast them aside as so much "inconvenience." It takes EFFORT to preserve them, and they would be unable to perpetuate their ME society if they were busy worrying about nonsense like that. (Kind of like they do the living being growing inside the womb - an inconvenience to be thrust aside to further one's own selfish existence revolving around lack of accountability and personal responsibility.)

I always heard tell cockroaches will survive after we annihilate ourselves with nuclear weapons. We, the "lowest" elements of today's liberal society, are the cockroaches. Long after they have destroyed themselves from within by the flesh-eating bacteria they deliberately introduced, we will go on - and so will Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness: They are the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God and nothing man attempts to do to them will diminish their power.

Rush Was Right

On today’s Rush Limbaugh program, January 28, 2009, Rush predicted that it wouldn’t be long until the Democrats, who are struggling to silence him, would be claiming how well their efforts are doing.

Rush said,

“But what we're going to do -- I'm going to predict this to you. It won't be long, today or tomorrow they're going to say they exceeded their goals in signatures. They're going to say, "We got more signatures to tell Rush to shut up than we ever dreamed of getting." That's the next step of this. That's the next stage. "We got more response! The American people," they will say, "are fed up with Rush Limbaugh," and they may release the numbers, who knows. How are we going to prove it? They don't have a counter on their website.”

Just as predicted, and nearly word for word, I received the following email this evening,

From: Brian Wolff, DCCC
To: Lew Waters
Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2009 1:18 PM
Subject: Keep Rush Limbaugh on the Run

Dear Lew,

When Rush Limbaugh's 'ditto heads' get angry enough to flood our website and phone lines with comments about the message you sent to them, you know we're doing something right.

Less than 24 hours after we alerted you to Rush Limbaugh's anti-American comments saying that he 'hopes' President Obama fails, more than 20,000 of you responded by signing our petition. Then last night, tens of thousands of Limbaugh's 'ditto heads' responded by calling us everything from socialists to Nazis and many worse things we can't repeat.

These are the same people that championed George Bush's failed policies that created the economic mess we're in and that President Obama is now fighting to repair.

Rush Limbaugh wanted a fight with you and he got one.

Show Limbaugh that Americans - regardless of ideology - hope that President Obama succeeds in getting people back to work and turning our economy around. Send our Rush Limbaugh Petition and Video to as many friends and family as possible.

As President Obama said:
"Nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change."

Make this statement a reality by asking everyone you know to watch this video at and join the movement that finally breaks the back of Rush Limbaugh-style politics.

I guess “nothing can stand in the way of millions of voice calling for change,” except millions of people who desire to keep their liberty and freedoms contained in our constitution.

Of course, El Rushbo is a loud voice in our fight to remain free, so of course he becomes target one.

Note too, the voice of hypocrites in this DCCC email. They call for “an end to Rush Limbaugh style politics,” but never say a word about Keith Olberman, Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, or any other vitriolic leftist who worked diligently to cause President Bush to fail and undermined the War on Terror.

Don’t fall for this effort at stripping first Rush Limbaugh of his first amendment right, then ours next.

It is time we stood up to the Socialist Demokratik Politburo and let them know we have the same freedom of speech they exercised over the last 8 years.

After all, wasn’t it them who kept saying dissent is the truest form or patriotism?

Obama, The Most Famous Living Person Ever? Oh Lord!

Get out the barf bags and prepare to hurl.

After all the claims of no media bias towards Barack Hussein Obama, Dee Dee Myers, former Clinton Press Secretary who abruptly left the Clinton administration due to feeling she was paid less that her predecessors and mistreated due to her gender, has now written an article appearing in Vanity Fair wondering “Is Obama the Most Famous Living Person Ever?”

Of course, some adulation is to be expected when a new person assumes the oval office. Being the first Black person, even though only half-black, does show a former barrier has been broken.

But, less than a week into this regime, having accomplished nothing other than glib and cheap words, being labeled as “the most famous living person in history” is a bit much.

Myers first sentence sets the tone of her treatise as she proclaims, “Barack Obama is the most famous living person in the history of the world.”

Did she somehow forget such people as Jesus Christ, Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Moses, Jesus’ mother Mary, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and so many more? So many have been known over history and will continue to be known long after Obama is relegated as just a black mark in Americas history.

I know, the above are all dead and she did say “living person,” but she includes Princess Diana in her article, indicating she considers those who passed away with fame as lesser than B HO as she claims, “all fall short of the man-meets-the-moment frenzy unleashed by Obama.”

How B.J. Clinton get on her list can only be left to the imagination.

Man meets the moment frenzy?”

Myers also said, “technology and biology don’t totally explain the Obama phenomenon.” No, Dee Dee, but media worship and storng bias does. Even to the point that former sweetheart of the media, Hillary Clinton, was shoved aside in favor of a first term senator from Illinois’s most corrupt region, Chicago, who holds absolutely no experience whatsoever in foreign negotiations or leding any groups of people.

It would be more truthful to state the media love affair with B HO and their ignoring any and every thing negative or derogatory about him. As far as the media has been concerned, he walks on waters, heals the sick, raises the dead, makes wine from water and feeds the world off of a fish and a loaf of bread. Undoubtedly, on the seventh day he too will rest!

Earth to Dee Dee Myers, he is an imperfect man, nothing more. He has a shady past that you media hypocrites refused to look at and still do. He won’t even clear up the question raised by his father’s family and his own party about his actual birthplace and has attorneys block every effort at clearing it up.

He has a Marxist background and in his first week in office has weakened America immeasurably as he desire to close the only secure prison to imprison bloodthirsty terrorists and signed an executive order that may finish killing the auto industry.
He has shown his disdain for children by signing orders to fund abortions here in Obamaland and in foreign countries.

Unable to avoid the usual BDS, Myers takes a swipe at President Bush with, “Gone is the hunkered-down defensiveness of the past eight years, the lock-the-doors, draw-the-curtains, load-the-guns-to-keep-out-the-bad-guys mentality that turned so much of the world against us.”

Delusional? One of Bush’s biggest failings was in failing to secure our borders.

She continues, “In its place is the restoration of that classic American optimism, eyes lifted to the horizon, reaching out across continents and oceans, not in fear, but with faith that we can help build a better world.”

Will that “better world” include a nuclear armed Iran? Resurgent Taliban and Al Qaeda? Perhaps suicide bombers inside America as we don’t move to radical Islam fast enough or help slaughter Israel?

Myers does admit that it was “NO ACCIDENT” that B HO’s first televised interview was on an Arab channel. Since America has had no fight with the Arabic world, one wonder just what the reason really was for that. Time and time again President Bush reassured Muslims and Arabs that our fight isn’t with them, but against the radical element within their midsts that has murdered more Muslims than any other group.

Is that why B HO basically apologized for our fighting terror?

The most famous living person in history? Not quite, except maybe only in pressrooms by the fawning media.

The Depths of My Genius

I am a genius. I can prove this undeniably, unequivocally, and with all absolute positivity - at least in my own mind.

Some while back, I posted a brain-bomb when one of my regular reads dangled an exceptionally tempting-looking carrot in front of my face:

At September 23, 2008 4:39 PM, allee

Doooooood. You chose some of my favoritest subjects today: The economy and the Depression.

Since I feel the Federal Reserve Act was a crime perpetrated against the American people, I cannot help but feel this "bailout" is little more than saying the first crime was no big deal and allowing a second to justify the first. Like we decided it was okay to knock an old lady down to steal her purse then letting the thief came back to kick her and rob her again because he forgot her wedding band. And laughing about it.

The central bank creates an environment leading us where we seem all too willing to follow - false manipulation of the markets to tweak a penny until it screams for the benefit of the banking elite followed by, unfortunately, the inevitable fast and hard blow in the form of recession that (of course) strikes the little guy below the belt just because he bought food and shelter instead of a nut cup.

The more manipulation, the harder the retaliation by the economy; much like in physics, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Factor in the natural ebb and flow of the economy and you've got a disaster waiting to happen. LIKE THE ENVIRONMENT, the economy has mechanisms of self-correction. We don't like how those make us feel, though; they don't leave us feeling all warm and gooey inside, so we try to avoid them by manipulating the system. But like water behind a dam, stuffing bubble gum in one hole doesn't keep the water from flowing, it only forces the water to find another outlet. Eventually, (and I love this analogy, so I use and over-abuse it) we experience the financial equivalent of Teton... The Great Depression.

Unfortunately, we didn't learn the lessons taught to us by history, so we are doomed to repeat it. We've allowed much more sophisticated manipulation and on much grander scale since the time of the Great Depression. Those self-corrections will be much harsher than those of the past and, in turn, the results far worse. I know I've ranted my doom and gloom before, last time you dangled this subject in front of me, but I say it again. The next Depression will be far more devastating than the last - economically and socially.

This is interesting reading, if you're interested:
Okay, I know you probably think I am a lunatic, that I drank a little too much Kool-Aid or maybe was dropped on my head too many times as an infant. You may be right, except for the Kool-Aid Part, since the only sugar in liquid form I drink is Mountain Dew. But aren't all geniuses a little weird around the edges?

Once again, I was right. Once again, I was ignored by pretty much everyone. But instead of saying "I told you so," I'll just let you in on a little secret: It's time to prepare for the final meltdown - NOW.

Have you ever watched footage of the Teton collapse? Fascinated by this event, never having learned about it in school but on (I believe) the History Channel some months back, I began reading about it, interested and wanting to know more. That was when I had my "epiphany." Our economic system and the markets of its operation are man-made constructs, subject to the same faults of engineers but also subject to falling victim to human greed. The economic version of the Teton breached and ruptured once already. Instead of taking instruction from the mistakes of our past, moving forward yet leaving the ghastly remains of our failure in plain sight so as not to repeat it, we just started shovelling even more dirt in the hole, rebuilding that same damn dam on the site of the first, burying that failure and hoping it will be soon forgotten.

Time passes, memories fade, and eventually those of the generation that survived the first rampaging flood pass away, future generations not learning from the experiences of their fathers and their father's fathers. Except someday, the water will once again leak through those same cracks as it did the first time.

(This may seem like diverging off topic, but now you will see my true genius)

The environment, nature, Planet Earth, has series of natural cycles, rhythms, waves. Whatever terminology you prefer, the premise behind all is that there are upswings and downswings. There is a rich geological and archaeological record documenting the planet's - as in GLOBAL - warming and cooling periods dating back millennia. What causes this? Is it Man, plundering natural resources and polluting the ecosystem and creating global warming? Absolutely not. In fact, Man has little to do with it. Global warming (and cooling) results from the combination of planetary tilt and rotation, orbital deviations, gravitational pulls by other celestial bodies, and even the movement of our solar system within the Milky Way and the galaxy's course across the universe. Nothing will EVER occupy the same "place" twice in an infinite universe in which all components are in continuous motion right down to the atomic level. (Is that profound, or what?) Astrophysics on steroids.

Lesson #1: Man is but an insignificant speck when considered in context of an infinite universe. All things being equal, the entire population of planet Earth, all 6.6 billion of us - including me - is but an insignificant speck when considered in context of an infinite universe.
Lesson #2: Man is only a marginally more significant speck when considered in context of the finite proportions of Planet Earth. However, all things being equal, the entire population of planet Earth, all 6.6 billion of us, is just a really annoying parasite.

We (humans) glorify ourselves, thinking we are so important that we have the ability to effect some truly horrific, radical destruction of the Earth. In reality, the worst we could ever do would be to effect some truly horrific, radical destruction of ourselves as a species. Asteroids and comets have pummeled the face of the Earth, but the Earth has endured, nature has responded and adapted, improved upon itself, strengthened and grown, incorporating and enveloping that foreign space rock into itself. Even if we nuked the crap out of each other, Earth would endure, nature would respond and adapt, improve upon itself, strengthening and growing, incorporating and enveloping each of us back into itself. So are we really as powerful as we lead ourselves to believe?

Upswings and downswings. Any attempt we make to try to change the natural course of the environment will be met by an inherent self-correction. The more manipulation we exert, the harsher the correction: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Eventually, diddling around with it too much gives you the kind of situation you can watch in high-definition in movies like The Day After Tomorrow. (Yes, I know this is a movie, a work of fiction, but all creative works have some basis in reality.) We - as in humans, specifically ALL humans - got carried away and exacerbated and/or accelerated the natural cycles of the environment with our meddling; and nature responded, mitigating the effects of our abuses with what was best for the planet, even if it was not what was best for its inhabitants.

The economy is a dynamic, almost "living" entity, created by man but in many ways similar to the environment. Its very nature has endowed it with the ability to grow and adapt, giving it the same self-correction capabilities found in nature. The more we manipulate it, the harsher the correction. The meddling within the system is causing it to self-correct. Instead of allowing it to do so, further manipulation is attempted.

Eventually, just like the cracks the formed in the face of the Teton, the cracks begin to form within the economic structure; and eventually the breach will rupture and carry us all downstream. This is the ultimate in self-correction, the Body's capacity to maintain equilibrium, what is best for the economy, even if it is not what is best for the manipulators.

I saw a video clip a while back, Nancy Pelosi asking what was so great about the Great Depression? I'll tell her what was so great about it. It was a Great Opportunity for us to learn and grow and fill in the holes and gaps and cracks in that dam we insisted on rebuilding; but instead of learning, we shrugged it off - our Great Folly - and now we will pay the Great Price.

I'll Be There

I've been thinking about us, too. About our people living like pigs and good, rich land laying fallow. Or maybe one guy with a million acres and 100,000 farmers starving.

And I've been wondering, if all our folks got together and yelled....

Maybe it's like Casey said. A fella ain't got a soul of his own, just a little piece of a big soul, the one big soul that belongs to everybody. Then.... Then it don't matter. I'll be all around in the dark. I'll be everywhere, wherever you can look. Wherever there's a fight so hungry people can eat, I'll be there. Wherever there's a cop beating up a guy, I'll be there. I'll be in the way guys yell when they're mad. I'll be in the way kids laugh when they're hungry and they know supper's ready. And when the people are eating the stuff they raise, and living in the houses they build, I'll be there, too.

Ultimately Distasteful - OPINION

The January 20, 2009, crowning of King Barry (to include collectively the events transpiring throughout the 2008 Presidential race) clearly delineates a pivotal event in the history of the United States of America: The beginning of the end. It mattered not who came out on top, for this country will implode and America as we knew her will cease to exist.

* * * * *

On September 11, 2001, we suffered the worst terrorist strike against the US since Pearl Harbor. Oklahoma City was devastating, to be sure, but it was an attack from within while the events of December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001, were perpetrated by foreign agents. For a brief, shining moment, we as citizens were witness to the closest drawing together and ultimate unity, in my opinion, any nation has ever experienced. We had within our grasp the opportunity to become one nation under God, indivisible.

We let it slip through our fingers.

The cracks in the facade were readily apparent during the Obama/Clinton battle, but we diligently ignored them, hoping they would go away. Like all cracks that are ignored, though, they soon become fissures; it is only a matter of time before the fissures rupture into a breach, the political and social equivalent of the Teton Dam. Throughout the campaign and throughout the election, we allowed ourselves to be divided from within - by The One - he who claimed to be a uniter, using our own strengths against us as weaknesses and exploiting our weaknesses to his advantage.

Blame It On Bush has been, by far, the most popular event at social gatherings across the country (and abroad), his massive and unforgivable faults detailed in "news" articles speeding across the ether, all around the world. After all, he was in office a mere 8 months the day the Towers fell. Now, I've never planned a terrorist attack, so correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that it would take more than 8 months to plan out such a highly concerted (not to mention devastating) blow to a foreign power, placing its origin within the realm of the Clinton Administration. But blame it on Bush anyhow (like everything else that has befallen our nation the past 8+ years).

Apparently this is far more entertaining than playing American Citizen, that long-forgotten pastime of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and even (though many Democrats will choose to disagree) Ronald Reagan. My guess is that this exercise is boring, while antagonizing and marginalizing or just jumping to conclusions when you DON'T KNOW DIDDLY is much more fun.

My ultimate disgust during the campaign came with a comment directed at me on another blog:
Angie, you are too far right…blind follower..sarah are going back to Canada if you’re Canadian you will like Obama not Sarah..truth is you’re just one of Republican all your leaders…Lies..lies and endless lies…
I chose not to clutter that site's comments section with a rant of my own, since that would be the courteous thing to do and it has become obvious to me that too many liberal followers know nothing of courtesy. Or even how to bother following the link attached to my name to see where I stand or what I am about before making asinine assumptions and generalizations about me.
  1. I am a registered Republican as of 1995. From 1990 to 1995, however, I was registered Democrat. My registration had nothing to do with Sarah Palin. Period.
  2. I have never voted a straight party ticket. EVER. I HAVE crossed party lines to vote for the candidate of my choice, up to and including voting for third-party candidates in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004 - every Presidential election I have been eligible to cast a vote in since coming of age in 1990 (with the exception of this year, when I did not vote at all, unable to make it to the township hall due to work).
  3. I take the time to research the candidates, to make an INFORMED CHOICE - not just submitting to herd mentality. That included perusing Mr. Obama's written works, reading about the types of and positions taken on legislation each candidate has been involved in, and looking for "truth" about The Unknown Principal that was Sarah Palin. Based on a lack of ANY coherence in that comment directed at me, I am only able to surmise that the author is - to be as politically incorrect as possible - perhaps mentally retarded. Unfortunately, my position is that NONE of the institutional candidates has been worth a pile of steaming dog poo since 1995. That is why I consistently vote INDEPENDENT.
  4. I have no reason to lie and, in fact, have been turned down for employment, deemed "too open and honest." Yes, I admire Sarah Palin; she was a major force in pulling me closer back toward the political right. However, that admiration does not preclude researching the candidates thoroughly, nor does it mean that I would necessarily have voted for her (since she was on the bottom of the ticket after all; and when I vote, I am actually voting for a panel of electors and not the candidate him/herself, another "tiny" tidbit apparently overlooked). I also admired certain qualities about John McCain, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Bob Barr, and especially Alan Keyes. However, I think I would be removed from the township hall and locked in a softly padded room if I were to try to vote for every candidate I admire.
  5. Are you telling me to leave the country of my birth, banishing me to return from whence I came, simply because I do not agree with you? Yes, my family emigrated to Canada from Germany before finally coming to America a mere four generations ago, but this is MY country every bit as much as it is yours, and you have no right to tell me to leave.
  6. I openly admit that I did not vote for George Bush. Regardless, he was my leader, as he was YOUR leader, even though you may not have voted for him. He was our President and, good or bad, deserves a modicum of respect for the office. Likewise, regardless of a vote cast and irrespective of who won, at a certain point one must accept the fact that the winner is our Chief Executive, for better or worse (a lesson liberals should have learned in 2000 and blatantly ignored) - but I reserve the right to poke as much fun as I see fit as per my rights under the First Amendment. If that is "blindness," I have no desire to "see," thank you very much.
With that, "Sweetie," I leave you with two tidbits to think about, courtesy of the late John Wayne:

"I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my president, and I hope he does a good job." Blind following of King Barry and regurgitation of every bit of garbage cranked out by the MSM over the past 8 years has clouded your judgment, and I believe you (and all liberals) to be inherently incapable of forming an open-minded, rational, and socially responsible ethic such as this. It is only a matter of time before the glimmer and gloss falls from your eyes....

"Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid." I think that pretty much sums it up. How could I ever explain it any better?

Necrosis of The Mind

*Cross-posted at What Floats My Boat*

Psychology and its sister "science" of psychiatry have been reduced to deserving little more than ridicule. It is a means for a select few (weak of mind, faint of heart, utterly bankrupt of all morality) self-serving morons to feel entitled to pat themselves on the back for helping those in need, changing lives for the better, and "improving" society.... by bringing us all one step closer to the twisted Barney The Dinosaur reality that underlies the worst nightmares of anyone NOT suffering concomitant craniorectal inversion disorder and malignant stupidity: The one where everyone is ALWAYS happy and smiling, we are all best friends, and there is nary a problem in the world that cannot be solved within the confines of a 30-minute time slot.

* * * * *

For the most part, it boils down to some schmuck whose "mommy didn't pay enough attention" needing to elevate himself above another he will invariably consider "inferior," so he can feel better about himself. Having worked on the periphery of the field for years (as a medical transcriptionist), I continue to be amazed by the sheer number of psychiatric patients (usually involuntarily admitted with a mandatory 72-hour hold prior to deferment hearing) who are students in the psychology program at the local University. There, they gain the tools needed to maneuver and manipulate the system to ensure a never-ending supply of mind-altering psychotropic medications and all the "attention" they crave. It is rather sickening, actually.

Anyhow. All is well and good in Barney Land.... until some poor slob, having inadvertently missed some random dose of court-ordered, physician-prescribed psychotropic medication (and do NOT think this is impossible - you would be grossly mistaken; they will come directly to your home with a court order, likely accompanied by police, and you will be injected if you refuse to comply), comes to the realization that the only time he feels "good" is when he gets his "fix." He is high - on LEGAL prescription medications - similar in chemical composition to and producing virtually identical neurochemical effects as those elicited by ILLEGAL drugs. The difference? (The REAL difference?) The manner in which these drugs are manufactured, packaged, and distributed - and whose pockets are being lined in the process. After all, we cannot have some lowly drug dealer raking in the enormous sums of money Big Pharma is entitled to (and has lobbied Congress furiously for, for years).

This dog-and-pony show has been standard fare of pharmaceutical companies for years, now "recycled" with a new look and logo to accommodate the burgeoning psychiatric industry.
Morphine {(5α,6α)-7,8-didehydro-4,5-epoxy-17-methylmorphinan-3,6-diol} is legal; a Class II controlled substance. It can be found in commonly prescribed medications including (but not limited to) MS-Contin, MSIR, and Kadian; then consider codeine, manufactured FROM morphine, and other synthesized opioid derivatives, and the list grows longer - while the profits reaped by the pharmaceutical industry reach mind-boggling proportions. Meanwhile, the physiologic effects of morphine are very similar to? Heroin. The addicts' drug of choice when heroin is not available? Morphine.

Heroin {(5α,6α)-7,8-didehydro- 4,5-epoxy- 17-methylmorphinan- 3,6-diol diacetate} is illegal; a Class I controlled substance. There is no medically accepted use for this drug. You got some, you got some trouble. You can have all the morphine you want (as long as you hop around to enough doctors to get prescriptions - and your luck holds out until they run a MAPS report on you). BUT.NO.HEROIN.
Then come along the "really smart guys" at the drug company. "Our chemists have been working to develop a thrombolytic agent that would significantly reduce the incidence of intracranial bleed post therapy. Unfortunately, it did not produce the desired results during clinical trials. In fact, it performed poorly in that respect, having no effect in dissolving thrombi whatsoever. However, a fascinating side effect was observed in that it induced euphoria in test subjects. We believe this compound should be pursued further, as it has significant potential as a psychotropic medication." ("Test subjects," not "people." Millions of dollars spent to produce a drug that does not do what was intended yet does something completely unexpected.... something to be exploited.... something to enable the company to recoup R&D investments AND generate profits for years to come - patent pending. Potential for abuse and potential for virtually unlimited profits, but who gives a rip??? WE'RE MAKING MONEY!)
Dextroamphetamine {(2S)-1-phenylpropan-2-amine} is legal; a Class II controlled substance. It just so happens to be the active ingredient in Adderall - a psychostimulant (see the "amphetamine" there?) prescribed to children across the country for ADHD, generating billions of dollars per year in sales and promoting the mind-rot of the next tender generation. Interestingly, the physiological effects of THIS drug are remarkably similar to: Meth. (I wonder why?)

Methamphetamines {(2S)-N-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine} are illegal. In fact, most state's child protection laws order the immediate removal of children (and facilitate TPR in a curiously expeditious manner) upon finding evidence that the home doubles as a meth lab. Busted cooking meth? Your ass is in jail: Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200. Now, the rest of us cannot even buy cold medicine without the DEA sniffing out every orifice.
Psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists: Together, the anus of society. They serve a degrading and embarrassing function, cause hemorrhoids and occasional itching, oftentimes spew forth foul-smelling gases and diarrhea, and every once in a while you just know it is time to clean out the works with an enema.

* * * * *

To Steve: Oh, my. I guess having a "Masters" degree gives you license to psychoanalyze at will. How much for sessions? I assume this first "consultation" is free, as we've not yet established a fee schedule. I am immensely grateful that one as benevolent, kind, and caring as yourself would try so hard to help me, show me the error of my ways. (In case you CANNOT tell, this is sarcasm - of the dripping variety; I feel the need to explain as you obviously do not understand concepts such as HUMOR, SATIRE, and PARODY and it is likely you do not understand sarcasm, either.)

Do I detect grandiose delusions, thinking oneself capable of guiding a "lost sheep" such as myself "back to the flock?" Verily, I say unto thee... "I am the way, the truth, and the light. No man cometh unto the Father but by me." People: We have a true hero in our midst, attempting to bring me to The Father Barack....

You are most certainly NOT Jesus Christ, so I will guess:
Axis I: Schizophrenic disorder, paranoid type, chronic with acute exacerbation. {Based upon the sum total of your previous comments}.
Axis II: Cluster B disorder including borderline, narcissistic, and antisocial personality disorder.

Yes, I am bitter. You could even say I am downright mean. I cling to my Bible; and months before Barry finalized his purchase of the Presidency (after 3-1/2 decades of swearing I would never own one), I purchased not one but TWO shotguns - with the intention of returning for at least two more. I am appalled - no, MORTIFIED - at the disease that has rotted this nation from its very center. Sadly, I feel a twinge of pleasure at the thought that, after this group of morons in Washington, DC, gives the final shove and our economy plunges into the abyss, my children and I will eat - thanks to my knowledge of agriculture and hunting - while you starve, waiting for the government to take care of you. I never would have believed myself capable of having such a horrid thought toward another human being, but I am strongly considering the possibility you might actually deserve it.

What is coming is population control, plain and simple. It is fortunate we have this remarkable mechanism by which to clean up the gene pool after generations of people like you defecating in it, rather than wading thigh-deep in excrement with a smile and proclaiming "All's well here!" but you (and others like you) deliberately, voluntarily, and willingly brought this upon yourself (and the rest of us) yet fail to realize that you have brought yourselves (and the rest of us) to the slaughter rather than being driven there. Some itty-bitty bit of genetic code is barking at you like a mad dog, a self-preservation instinct, which invades the euphoria of your drug-induced stupor. You need someone to blame for your distress, because personal responsibility and accountability are not part of your repertoire, so you lash out at people like me.

Well, I have broad shoulders.... and an even broader mind. I can take it, I can dish it right back, and eventually I can just choose to ignore your existence. I will not be harmed in any way, shape, or form.

Federal Prison Riot: Where's Obama?

News is breaking of a riot in Central Florida at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex, which is approximately 50 miles northwest of Orlando and 35 miles south of Ocala.

Early reports claim several victims of gunshot and stabbing wounds.

Where is Barack Obama? No calming words from him. No reassurance to the community and nation on how he is handling this major tragedy. He offered us all "hope & change" and obviously these deprived citizens feel wronged under his administration to cause this major unrest.

Is this how his administration intends to handle matters? No doubt he is hiding behind the White House sneaking a cigarette while people are being harmed.

Where is Obama? Why isn't he acting on this?

Honored By The San Francisco Chronicle

Last weekend, January 18, 2009 the San Francisco Chronicle ran a story in their weekend Insight by Wynton Hall, visiting fellow from the Hoover Institution in which he rated the Four Best and Four Worst United States Presidents, Legacies of the commanders in chief.

The article was on my MSN Homepage and reading it, saw that at the bottom of the article, the Chronicles editors were requesting reader input as to how we rate past Presidents.

Seeing that Mr. Hall said in part, “Great presidents must be great protectors.
The Constitution's call for presidents to serve as commander in chief is clear. What use are rights and liberties if we are dead
?” I submitted my personal ranking.

On Thursday I took a call from the SF Chronicle saying my letter was one being considered for publication this Sunday, January 25, 2009, which I took as encouraging, figuring they must have been deluged with letters from across the nation.

Opening the Chronicles web site this morning, I sought and found the article and was utterly amazed to see that the Chronicle had given me the distinct honor, privilege if you will, to be the lone, sole token conservative defender of President George W. Bush, as I had stated for keeping us safe after 9/11, his name deserved to be included towards the top.

Readers rate the U.S. presidents

All other respondents they included for publishing, all from the Bay Area I do believe, chose to carry over the BDS we have seen over the past 8 years, some even repeating multiple disproved claims against President Bush as they all rated him the worst.

While I do consider it a distinct honor to have been chosen as their token conservative, c’mon now, do we really expect an objective and fair cross sampling of Americans from the San Francisco Chronicle when it comes to President George W. Bush?

Obama Mania Destined To Collapse

Borrowed from another excellent site'

Obama Mania Will Eventually Collide With Reality By: Christopher G. Adamo

Conservatives, real conservatives, are by now thoroughly nauseated from all of the inaugural gushing and fawning over Obama. But if they think that this slobber-fest was going to end now that he has assumed the presidency, they are going to be sorely disappointed. The leftist cheerleaders will continue trumpeting the supposed grandeur and majesty of this day long after its fabricated luster has thoroughly dulled in the eyes of the thinking public.

Such unbridled jubilation is particularly disturbing, given the degree to which those on the left sought to demean and undermine every facet of the Bush Presidency from the very day the U.S. Supreme Court told the State of Florida to stop playing games with the recount, thus declaring George W. Bush the winner of the 2000 election.

Ever since, virtually every presidential event in which President Bush participated has been subject to widespread and juvenile caterwauling from the left. From the price tag for his 2001 inauguration (less than a third of the cost of Obama’s, but we hear no complaints now), to his May 1, 2003 carrier landing on the USS Abraham Lincoln, to his exit from the White House last Tuesday, the liberal establishment was shameless in its determination to disparage every official statement or act of the former president.

Likewise, we see similar words from Michael Novak

The Coming Fall
Presidents are, inevitably, something like Christ figures. They all suffer and, eventually, fall.

By Michael Novak

Lewes, Del. — My wife and I escaped from Washington out to the shore (at the Cape just where the Atlantic Ocean meets Delaware Bay), partly because we couldn’t face the traffic and large-scale “lock down” in which Washington, invaded by hundreds of thousands upon thousands, now finds itself. We were not permitted to drive downtown. Subways are jammed. My office is closed. Taxicabs are all occupied.

But worst of all as we left town was the Leader-focused enthusiasm of the crowds, and the pre-inaugural grandiosity of the new president-elect.

At the pre-inauguration concert on the National Mall in front of the Lincoln Memorial, dark red banners on the temporary stands of the amphitheater built for the occasion, with adulatory crowds packed into them, brought back ugly newsreel images from my childhood. The feeling expressed by many who were there and others who watched on television reveals a strain of messianism that ill becomes a democratic republic. It fits better with political systems based upon the cult of personality.

The rest at National Review Online

Throughout the campaign season, many tried in vain to point out that campaign speeches made by 'the one' were contradictory and placing unbelievable and unsustainable expectations in people's minds. Few, if any, listened and he was swept into office by a slim margin against the poorest of opponents he could have faced.

Almost immediately the gilded edges began to fade as article after article, speech after speech sought to lessen the public's expectation that Obama placed in their heads.

We heard supporters claim they no longer had to worry about gas in their cars, who's going to pay their mortgage, cry that they aren't wealthy, but they gonna be as they got Barack Obama now.

The sad reality is not hitting not only citizens, but newly coronated Obama too. Campaign promises are easy to make but often impossible to keep. From an ill thought out executive order to close Guantánamo Prison Camp to not vetting his Cabinet choices, Obama is now facing the reality of Washington D.C. Chicago hoodlum tactics don't carry any weight in Washington D.C. where the real hoodlums sit in offices and direct what the country will do.

Obama faces International scorn already as a missile attack in Pakistan that killed people has enraged others across the sea, expecting 'the one' to bring the War on Terror to a screeching halt and immediately bring the Troops home.

It's easy to make the promises, but reality brings about a more sober look at the world.

Like it or not, this is Obama's War now. It's his to finish and win, or surrender and lose. It's his to listen to the Generals and boots on the ground leaders, or ignore them and listen instead to those who only want the defeat of America.

One thing that certainly will happen is that he is going to upset many, since he made promises to both sides. That is called writing checks your body cannot keep.

Blaming Bush won't wash much longer either as it is all his now. His fellow Democrats set the stage of discord and likewise, they hold congressional power with a near filibuster proof majority in the Senate and they too must decide what they will do with it all.

Stimulus’s will only go so far, with many expecting larger handouts and promises of jobs to rebuild our infrastructure, without any knowledge of where the extra tax dollars will be coming from.

How many generations it will require to correct all the damage that is about to be laid on America over the next 4 years is unknown at this time. But, as the sad reality of how they were lied to sinks in to the Obamobots and they realize that the promises were lies and that they are going to end up much worse off under him, I expect it is going to be ugly in the 2012 elections, if not before.

The American Dream

What The American Dream means to each of us is as varied as the citizens of this nation. For some, pursuit and realization of that dream comes as the result of years of hardship and personal sacrifice; for others, it is a golden peach ripe for the picking - and comes at another person's expense. It all depends upon your personal aspirations and political ideologies.

The latest assault comes in the form of mad-dog socialism dressed in top hat and tails, an ideal Americans can look upon with hope and in the spirit of change: A friend in need is a friend indeed, even if not in deed. Just ignore the foaming mouth, no danger here; that is just those right-wingers trying to distract you.

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. I once read that over time, ability turns into a liability and need into an asset. How is this truly a viable economic system, being built upon great disincentives to produce and even greater incentives to consume?

Today, my friend Angi posted an amazing perspective on The American Dream and how easily it can be shattered - not only for the dreamer but for others at the core and at the periphery of that dream: American Company, Inc.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

A Democrat and a Republican are walking down the street when they come across a homeless person. The Republican hands him his business card and says, "Call me tomorrow and I'll help you find a job." Then he reaches into his wallet, pulls out twenty dollars, and gives it to the man.

The two walk on and come across another homeless person. Impressed by his Republican friend, the Democrat stops and gives the man directions to the welfare office. He reaches into the Republican's wallet, pulls out twenty dollars, gives five to the homeless person and keeps fifteen for administrative costs.
Capitalism is wrong. It is destructive, immoral.... a failure.... the source of all corruption. It must be abolished. It is most unfortunate for capitalism that we have not actually operated under this system for decades. We appeared to do so, and that is close enough for government work. Of course, it is all well and good that those who wish to spread the wealth ensured their ability to have their fair share of the pie - as well as yours and mine - before demanding what remains be cut into smaller and smaller slices, to be divided unequally amongst us. Eventually we will be cutting air, the pieces handed around nothing more than imagination of a taste to whet the appetite, the aroma of pie still lingering in the air.

As you sow, so shall you reap.
It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment, because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know, if I help him, he's gonna help me. --Peggy Joseph
As you sow, so shall you reap.
For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country. --Michelle Obama
As you sow, so shall you reap.
I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are Independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face. --Barack Obama
Each has realized their own version of The American Dream. Peggy has no need to worry about paying for her gas and mortgage, because she helped Barack and now he will help her - force those earning over $250,000 a year to pay their own way - and hers, too. Michelle can find yet another reason to be proud of her country, knowing one more African-American has cast aside the oppressive bonds of a market rooted in the evils of capitalism. And.... Barack has enchanted his "ambassadors" into willfully setting aside their own (and forcibly seize ours) fundamental rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It all depends upon your personal aspirations and political ideologies.

Born Again American: A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing

I received a link to this very well produced video site containing links to easily sign on and declare your self also a “Born Again American.” The tune and tempo of the country-oriented music is very catchy and the words sound Patriotic, almost too Patriotic.

Born Again most commonly refers to a Christian term for spiritual rebirth and salvation, an acceptance and embracement of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. Honest hearted Americans have embraced just that for many a decade now and the name envisions just such an acceptance.

Even part of the lyrics for this catchy tune seem to indicate the same,

I’m a Born Again American, conceived in Liberty
My Bible and the Bill of Rights, my creed’s equality
I’m a Born Again American, my country ‘tis of me
And everyone who shares the dream from sea to shining sea

However, searching into BAA we find the deception unfolding.
Born Again American is committed to the rebirth and re-expression of citizenship through informed and thoughtful activism. It is an initiative of Declare Yourself, a national non-partisan, non-profit (501(c)3) organization dedicated to increasing young voter participation and civic involvement. Declare Yourself’s on-line voter registration tool has been used by almost four million people since 2004. Declare Yourself grew out of the 2003’s Declaration of Independence Road Trip that toured an original 1776 copy of the Declaration to schools, town halls, and other locations all over the country.”

A “National non-partisan organization?” Don’t believe it.

BAA was created by Norman Lear, who gave us Maude, All in the Family and the Jefferson’s, among other 1970’s comedies that marginalized and ridiculed traditional conservative Americans and who also created The People For The American Way, a group he created as an advocacy group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people.

In his March 2008 speech announcing BAA at the Take Back America Conference, Lear stated his real intent of promoting Liberalism and Progressiveness. This “non-partisan” says in part,
It’s been seven years since the killer combo I referred to last night, THE NEO-CONS, THEO-CONS AND BIG BUSINESS, succeeded in getting us to vote in an administration that could not be more contemptuous of these principles. As my friend Marty Kaplan has written, this may be the most brazenly lawless administration in history. No other president has found such joy in spitting on our system of checks and balances, defying the will of the Congress through presidential signing statements, torturing prisoners as well as evidence, refusing to let Executive Branch employees testify, and forbidding their Justice Department from enforcing contempt citations.”

Looking at the page for Born Again American you immediately see a photo of an Obama rally prominently displaying his trademark “change” sign he used effectively in winning the recent coup d’etat and ascending to the highest office in the land.

In reality, Born Again American is nothing more than another anti-Bush, anti-conservative and pro-Obama Progressive front. It is a strongly partisan group leaning well to the left politically.

Bear in mind as they are singing about “My Bible and the Bill of Rights,” these are the same people that continue to fight long and hard to prohibit a simple generic prayer in schools and fight to have “In God We Trust” removed from our currency, the pledge of allegiance and most everywhere God is displayed in public in their misguided march of Separation of Church and State.

Lear speaks of a “civil religion,” what I perceive as a worship of the state, the government, as he says, “Our civil religion … belongs to everyone, including the non-religious and those still searching.” He further indicates this by saying in regards to the left’s avoiding traditional religion, “When we weren’t consigning spiritual matters to Oprah or the far corners of the blogosphere, we were avoiding the topic by pigeonholing it as a matter of church/state separation.”

Some weeks ago it was indicated in an earlier post, When Did America Stop Listening how these front groups disguise themselves with patriotic sounding names, but that the intent was anything except the furthering of American liberty and freedom. The videos there are by a man who walked amongst the communists within America for a decade to report on their activity, exposing their desire of overthrowing America as we all used to know her and love her.

2009 and the effort has intensified in spite of the failure of socialistic governance everywhere it has been tried.

The country theme disguises this liberal intent and undoubtedly will suck in many an honest hearted person who failed to realize that they have signed onto yet another communist front that intends to gradually strip us of the very freedoms they sing of preserving, until it is too late.

This bastardization of Patriotism, Christianity, and Americanism has one intent only, to promote the Socialist ideology that has failed repeatedly and is now being abandoned by those nations that fell for it years ago.

It is hardly “non-partisan” and is wholly leftist, definitely a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Laws of Physics, Sleight of Hand

My tour of the public education system was more like a wrongfully imposed sentence of torture. Exploration and advancement based upon an individual's capabilities denied, I felt stifled, discouraged, marginalized. Complicating precocity was paralyzing shyness and easy provocation to tears, and I was the favored target of bullies and bullied alike - including teachers. The bottom of the food chain. I retreated ever further, escaping into the labyrinthine world of knowledge. Books offered solace from that failure to gain acceptance and incorporate myself into a society of my peers. More importantly, though, they provided me with a map of sorts on a path toward inner redemption.

I became first a knowledge addict, later an outspoken (and often obnoxious) nonconformist. I evolved into a strong-willed individual with a solid sense of right and wrong, deeply held beliefs, and an insatiable desire to continue to learn. I learned to accept myself for who I was and not what other people wanted me to be. I became comfortable with that person, and that has been the key to accepting others for who they are (that is, unless they are only reflecting images of those around them with the power to shine).

Anyone with proper motivation can plunder the depths of knowledge. Few are capable of applying meaningfully that which they have learned. Fewer yet have the ability to transcend accepted boundaries and limitations, reaching higher planes of consciousness, and attaining Wisdom and Enlightenment.

This unfortunate fact is the bane of our existence.

A while back, I was watching a debate in an online forum on one of the topics serving as a wedge dividing our society: Creationism in public schools. I left at the degeneration of a semi-rational discussion into a second-grade name-calling contest, but not before attempting to inject some of my own brand of home-grown wisdom into the conversation, leading to a verbal assault followed by erasure of my existence from the forum. Censure and censor, The New American Way. I still feel my position is relevant, possibly even more so now, based upon the underlying processes that brought me there.

It boils down to scientific method. Seeking the "answer," one first formulates a hypothesis then tests that hypothesis against data and observations. If supported, it becomes a theory; if not, it is discarded. However, theories are not absolute - they can be proven false as well. Evolution is a theory. Creationism is also a theory - and it will remain so as long as there is no evidence (not a hypothesis, and not another theory, but FACT) to disprove it. Deliberate exclusion of a theory because some find it "unpalatable" will have a cascading effect leading to failure; not to mention, another person's freedom to choose has been infringed upon.
To those who argue that God does not exist and your "proof" is the hatred and evil that exist in the world or the miseries we suffer, this is not the absence of God or even the indication of a vindictive God; it is the manifestation of the free will He has bestowed upon us. If we choose to annihilate ourselves and He were to intervene every step of the way, that would not really be free will, now, would it?

To those who argue that you have a right to dictate what your child learns and does not learn - specifically, those things in which you do not believe - technically, you are correct. On the other hand, your methods are allowing you to also dictate what MY child learns and does not learn - regardless of my own beliefs and in violation of my rights - and denying all children their own right to choose (and that sounds a lot like indoctrination).
With each subsequent "wave" of children entering, negotiating, and finally exiting our public school system, we are further subjected to a systematic "dumbing down" of America: Curricula focused with an almost pathological tunnel vision on standardized testing, the unequivocal stripping of "unnecessary" educational pursuits (i.e., art, home economics, etc.), and creation of an environment of de-socialization leaving these children - the next generation, the FUTURE OF AMERICA - ill equipped to deal with some of the most magnificent concepts formulated in the mind of man: Morality. Integrity. Virtuousness. Courtesy. Respect. Empathy. How many can even SPELL these words, let alone define them, relate to them, practice them, or contemplate their relevance in a deeper - metaphysical - context?

In competition, we fail miserably. Having seen with my own eyes the "quality" of our education system, I stand firmly in the belief that we cannot continue down the path of State-sanctioned and enforced ignorance. If we are to excel in the global environment, let alone run neck-and-neck with our contemporaries, we must move on to the next level, not backwards.

This dumbing down is facilitated by a form of social indoctrination that can only be realized with creation of an environment openly and increasingly hostile toward the most central value and ideal of the past: The Family. Once that element is essentially removed from the picture (Daddy was never around to begin with, Mom and Dad both work, or the State has usurped parental rights), the molding of young minds takes place within the sanctuary of the state: Public schools. Of course, willfulness or spiritedness, creativity in thought and expression, ambition - even precocity and shyness - are undesirable and children exhibiting these traits are branded. Then they are medicated.

Compliance, conformity, and complicity. The necrosis spreads quickly.

Shifting of societal values happens first through acceptance, then encouragement, and finally propagation of behaviors once taboo. For example: Single-motherhood is no longer just acceptable, it is preferable; encouraged by removal of shame and stigma; propagated by a "rewards" system erasing any personal accountability or responsibility. Abuse of that system has spawned generations of welfare families (and contrary to what some may think, this is not a "race" issue, and not all welfare recipients are black or Hispanic; in fact, the numbers probably would show more whites on welfare rolls than any other race, but I'd have to check that out to be sure). This is only one example; too many are incapable of seeing "the structure as a whole," looking only at the steel skeleton underneath.

Tolerance is not a one-way street, and acceptance cannot be forced. Courteous and rational discussion carries more power than hateful words. Allowing free flow to all venues - without suppressing those to which you do not subscribe - is the only road to securing personal freedom and enduring liberties.

When combined with behavioral shifts, the dismantling of core Constitutional principles, and the convergence of national interests into a global economy, we have created a deadly vehicle capable of effecting "change." The question is, are you fully prepared to accept the consequences of that change, and are you willing to take responsibility for the actions of the man behind the wheel?

* * * * *

The most important laws of physics are those coined "Newton's Three Laws":
  1. Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a right line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it.
  2. The acceleration produced by a particular force acting on a body is directly proportional to the magnitude of the force and inversely proportional to the mass of the body.
  3. To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction; or, the mutual actions of two bodies upon each other are always equal, and directed to contrary parts.
These "fundamentals" are at the core of the science. Further study would have been impossible without these properties having been defined. We've probably all heard the third at some point, boiled down to: Equal and opposite reaction. The others are less familiar but equally relevant, forming the basis of function for the third. Simply put, the first states that an object does not move or, if already moving, continues in a straight line until something causes it to change direction; the second, the greater the force exerted on an object, the greater it speeds up.

Thinking "outside the box" and applying laws of physical matter to human behavior is not that big a jump. For example, slavery would have continued in this country had it not been for outside forces stopping it. I will discuss further at another time market influence - the first law - and market correction - the third law. These are applications with an historical context, allowing us to make predictions about future behaviors. In some way, every action we take, individually and as a whole, is rooted within these laws.

Right here and now, I will not get into this much more than this, because too many people seem not to care, living in the moment and not wanting to see how our history has shaped us or how the future is formed by the decisions of yesterday and today, telling me I stand in the way of "change" and "progress." Those who do care and do understand need no lessons from me.

What we need to worry about is a third type of person: The prestidigitator. The one who understands these principles and the limitations imposed by the laws of physics - but not liking them. The one who makes a career of "bending" these laws to the delight of a captivated audience... preying upon (and praying for) the inability of onlookers to see that what is happening is merely the ILLUSION of bending: Sleight of hand.

Now you see it... Now you don't.

In the most fantastic confidence game of all time, the politicians of this nation have bent and twisted and pulled and pushed, the masses screaming hysterically for more - and more daring - tricks by which to be entertained and amused. While we look on, the tricksters have help behind the scenes, pulling ropes, opening trapdoors, poofing smoke to hide the real action and give the audience the most bang for their buck.

Look over here, and see the mortgage crisis.... while we are distracted, over there, the magician and his friends loot the banking industry.

Look over there, and see the stock market tumble.... while we are distracted, over here, the magician and his friends raid the treasury and plunder the loot of generations to come.

Look, look, look all around, and see the needless war in Iraq.... while we are distracted, boldly all around us and within our sight, the magician and his friends install a wooden puppet in the White House.

~~~~~Only I think those are called dummies with someone's hand shoved up their backside.
(For clarity's sake, BOTH major parties play this shell game with the American public, every 4 years - and this isn't a direct criticism at any one candidate and not even specifically the events mentioned above, which just happen to be the most current distractions, merely used as examples.)
